  1. American 9ft x 4ft table - allow 6ft around the exterior of the table therefor room required 21ft x 16ft = 336sqft

    English 6ft x 3ft table - allow 6ft around the exterior of the table therefor room required 18ft x 15ft = 270sqft

  2. remember although your table may fit in the room u want it in remember that it matters too if you have room to swing your stick and not hit a wall or something

  3. Size of the table depends on how much you play and to how good you wish to get, 8ft tables are ok and common. 9ft tables are the regulation size and you will find that if you play well on 9ft you will play better on 8ft. Now depending on which you perfer you will need a room big enough to allow you full stoke of your stick. Myself, I would want a room no less than double the table.
