Firstly I don't recommend a glass roof. To find the cost ask a few firms for a quote, you'll find they will vary in price by as much £2000 or more.

Hi Julie.. I recently fitted a decent sized conservatory in london the total cost was £8600 however difficult to be accurate as you may like a different design.

It all depends on the size and if your getting a company in to fit it or diy.  Diy is much cheaper.  We have just built a conservatory all glass and glass roof (which is much better than polycarb, as you can actually use the room in the rain! and watch the stars at night).  It cost in total £10,000 and we were quoted £14,000 - £16,000 from companies to come and fit it.  Its 4.5m x 3.5m and worth every penny.  plan it carefully especially the position of the doors etc, so you dont just end up having a room thats a walkway!
