  1. 14.86 cubic feet.

  2. Area of a circle is Pi R squared.

    So that's 3.14(7.5 )^2 for 177 sq ft

Multiply by 1/12' depth for volume.

    That's roughly 15 cu ft.

  3. Sand: if gently filled into a container, the density will be small; when the same sand is compacted into the same container, it will occupy less volume and consequently carry a greater density. This is because "sand" contains a lot of air space in between individual grains; this overall density is called the bulk density, which differs significantly from the density of an individual grain of sand.

It is correct that 3.14xd^2/4 = about 14.8 cubic feet

But because of the air space I think you need less sand than that. Sand is typically sold by the pound and according to Lowe's a 50 lb. sack of sand = 0.5 cubic feet

So you would need 1480 lbs. sand!!  That doesn't quite sound right.

I would buy about half that much, spread it out and go back for more if you need it.

  4. Slightly more than half of one cubic yard.

Sand will be sold by the cubic yard.
