How much savings do i need in my savings account to get a OZ working visa?

Hi going to Australia soon and wondered how much savings in my account i need to be able to get a Australian working holiday visa? (coming from England)

I am not sure if you need savings in the bank as the application process is easy.

My boyfriend is Italian and applied on line, and got his 1 year working visa without a problem and without having to show anyone any documentation. I know for Australian's going to the UK they need 5000 AUS$ in the bank account, but to be honest I am not sure about vice-versa.

The rental properties are on the upper in price and hard to come across at the moment, as Australia is about to go through some tough times.
