  1. If you have done MBBS go for MD or MS of your choice and carry on your life in a great profession and way of life to help people and be rewarded by all means as well instead of saluting the politicians and be at there mercy and will. Start your own clinic and be a master of your own life, where you need not to be transferred to a place and you don't have to get and bow in front of the nincompoops.

  2. As a doctor you will be able to save few lives.  But as an Administrator you will able to decide fate of teeming millions. Ask yourself – are you ready to run this country?

The IAS/ IPS officers do not salute all the politicians.  And believe politicians have qualities which few frustrated friends giving you advice to remain doctor, do not have.

The MBBS course is difficult and time consuming itself. A visit to UPSC site would reveal that many MBBS graduates do not opt for Medical subjects.  You might be thorough in medical sciences but, the mother all examinations IAS has several subjects to be studied and revised.  Medical students normally opt for Anthropology, Zoology, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology etc.

While in MBBS, pl keep on reading CS chronicle, CSIR books, frontline, Hindu, Economic survey, budget documents, NBT books. Also solve objective general knowledge papers.  After MBBS you can directly concentrate on General Studies, and optional. So be ready to cure many ailments the country is facing!

  3. good scope if you are retaining the same vigor with which you started ythe career of mbbs
