How much shopping could I do with this many Rubles in Russia?

Well I want to go to Moscow for a week and do a little shopping and stuff, I like high priced stores and stuff, but noting to expensive, so where should I go, where is the mall???

well one mil in rubles is about $40,000 (depending on the rate of exchange) so... you do the math.

The average amount of money the retired people get is 3000 to 4000 rubles a month, if a worker gets 15000 a month it may be considered a decent salary in provincial cities, as to Moscow it depends, but an average of 30000 a month is quite good. So I’d say 57000 is big money but on the other hand as the main character of our famous movie said: “Are you kidding me? Who comes to Moscow without money? You go once or twice in a restaurant and it’s gone!” So, be careful.

Based on the conversion rate of my last visit you will have about $2,500.00.  If this is for shopping purposes only then it is OK.  I doubt it will last a week.  It also depends what you intend to purchase.  Russia is an expensive country to visit and prices in Moscow are sky high.  I took a woman shopping there and for a paid of high heel boots, a dress and nightgown we spent $1,000.00.  We weren't even in Moscow so I can only guess what that would cost.  It is actually cheaper to shop in America than Russia including eating out.  But it is a nice country and the people are great.  A hotel in Moscow will easily cost more than $300 a night and that is just a plain room.  Good luck.
