  1. Maybe charge by the hour. $7 or $8 an hour?

  2. ummm £10

  3. i don't know where you live, but in the mid-west, our professional man works for 35-40 minutes for $35 every week or two.  that, i'm told, is reasonable.  you should check with a parent to be sure but being 14, i think i'd pay you $15 for a half hour every week or two [depends on how fast the grass grows].  but i'd consider a raise next year if you did a good job.  keep the weeds and 'other things' all the same as grass cutting.  have fun and be polite.

  4. When I was your age I was charging $5.00 to cut grass in both the front and back lawns. Times have changed since then and gas has become a lot more expensive.

You need to account for that in your estimate, and on how large the area to be cut is,

I would recommend that you charge by the square yardage of the area to be cut, charge like maybe $2.50/ sqyd. If your clients would like you to weed eat around the edges that should be an additional smal charge like maybe $5.00 for each yard.

Remember, gas isn't cheap anymore and your time and labor is valuable.

  5. If your providing the equipment (ie mower/weed eater) then

    1) small $25-$30

    2) Med $30 - $50

    3) Lg  $50 and up

extra for bagging/disposal.Your labor is what you feel comfortable charging.

    My Best

  6. Give yourself an hourly rate, say $10/hr.  The apply that to how long it takes you (you can't slack-off though).

Finish the lawn and whack the weeds. Spend 2 hours at each house (raking, pruning, weeding) and charge them $20.  Off to the next job

Think about equiping you bicycle with a makeshift mower trailer.  Call yourself a "green" company.

    Be safe

  7. I know someone who is doing this same thing this summer he is 17, and he charges anywhere from 25 -75, depending on the yard and more for anything over mowing.

this is an excellent way to earn money.

  8. We have a professional yard guy who does basically everything we charge him 60 dollars each time he comes. That's considered pretty cheap for a professional.

If you're doing a really really good job and they like your work, since you're only 14 you should charge them 10-20 dollars.

But if your doing just a little touch up on their yard, try starting with something around 8 dollars or less. If you get better and start doing more and people seem to like your work, start charging your "clients" a little more :)

    good luck, hard job....good money.

    im stuck walking dogs :P.
