I'm 15, 5'9", and 130 lbs. For my age and size about what should I be benching? Like how many reps and how much should I be able to bench. And if anybody knows any good workout routines for building upper body strength I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

  2. Hey man there  is no limit to watch you could do when working out don't follow charts too much they make you limit your self .. When I was in high school  i wrestled and played foot ball worked out year round for the most part. So for your weight you should be benching about 160-170 max (meaning this is when you give it your all and you haven't lifted anything else for the day) I was 160 and my max was 205 my junior year just to give you some ball park. workouts  are great you always want to work out your upper body in a random order no routines your body becomes conditioned and will not gain strength as quick. we used to do Bench (close grip and wide grip), Towel bench(place a rolled to well on your chest and touch it with the bar) incline bench, over head rows (taking bar behind your head while sitting straight up) of course push ups. You want to make sure you do the little exercises also as to make sure your biceps, forearms and triceps grow in sync with the rest of your body (curls, lat pull down, extensions etc.)  Just make a list of maybe 4 lifts that you do in a day  about 3 times a week alternating the lifts. Here's a good rep order also once you find your max  lift about 70 percent  starting out small with 10 and in increasing to your 70 percent max at one (10 8 6 4 2 1) really works

    Good luck dude
