  1. 4300

  2. Do you have your hotel and stuff booked?? If not then BOOK IT!

To eat and take Tuk Tuks and Taxi's I'de say AT LEAST $1000B a day which is $32.00 Canadian/US. Remember airport transfer by taxi(not much else to get after a lng flight) is about $350B plus $70B(2 tolls).

Dont take the subway or skytrain, they suck ***.

Try Tuk Tuks(bargin HARD) and Taxi is a last resort cuz they are about $100-200B more.

    Have a nice trip!

  3. This is totally depending on what kind of a lifestyle you wanna have in your 3-day stay ... it could be anywhere from $30 to $30K

  4. First bring the currency of your country and exchange it in Thailand for your best rate.  You do not have to convert most currencies to US dollars and then exchange them for Thai baht!  (Lots of countries use "dollars" as their monetary unit, such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Oz, NZ, Zimbabwe, etc.)

Bring no less than the amount of money you would need to support yourself in a hotel and for food plus transportation in a big city in your country.    Not everyone spends money at the same rate.  Some travelers "must" have hotels that cost 4000 baht per night or more and other travelers are happy to spend only 400 baht per night for a hostel or dorm.

Food is pretty cheap in Bangkok where you can eat at a street vendors for 30 - 40 baht or spend lots more in a set-down restaurant.  World recognized fast food outlets are available in Bangkok - like McDonalds, Burger Kings and KFC's.  Lots of food courts in malls with all sorts of local Thai specialties at good prices.

Transportation is cheap in Bangkok, you can use a bus or meter taxi in town and even an overhead train to get you to many places in the city (Skytrain.)  If you get a hotel near the Skytrain route you can use save time and money in your travel.

Meter taxi cabs are cheaper than tuk-tuks IF you tell the driver to use the meter.  For a meter taxi wave a moving taxi over to the curb, tell the driver to use the meter and when he says yes hop in.  Don't get in until he agrees to use the meter.  Avoid the parked taxi cabs outside hotels, they want to bargain the price too often - when you bargain prices for rides in a taxi or tuk-tuk you pay more!

How much do you need per day???  Depends!  I guess that you will take some tours and perhaps some entertainment or shopping - right?  Take no less than "what ever" dollars you use to get to 4000 baht per day.   More money even better.   (Even men and women spend money differently.)

P.S. If you flight arrives at the airport after midnight you will most likely have to take a meter taxi from the airport.  For that taxi you pay a 50 baht surcharge plus any tolls and the meter fare.  See the travel forums below for specifics.  There is an Airport Express bus that charges 150 baht for a ride into town if you arrive at an earlier time. However, 2 people on the Airport Express bus will pay around the same price as a meter taxi from the airport and get you to your hotel door to door in half the time!

As far as finances go - "different strokes for different folks!"

    Good luck.

  5. These types of questions have been asked 1,000 times. How in the world would anyone know how much money you would need to bring for 3 days in Bangkok.

    Are you that stupid?

  6. As others have said it depends on your spending habit and your style of living on how much to spend.  An middle range price would be about 1,200 baht for hotel, no more then 500 baht for food, 100 to 200 baht for transportation.  Tours can be arrange cost could be from a few hundred to 1,000 baht.  A lady to entertain you is going to increase your cost.

  7. Thailand is "Land of the Free" so you shouldn't need any money.

Then reality sinks in...If your on a strict budget $120 US  and if your moderate $300 or so.  If you want a Thai "tour" guide figure about $75-$100 more per day.

  8. $500 US will be fine!!!
