  1. You need to consider how long it took you to build the computer and how tricky it was to put together and all the parts!

  2. How much is your time worth to you?

Sometimes building the first of something is "fun" and you enjoy learning along the way.  You can chalk up some of your labor as a learning experience.

Otherwise decide what your time is worth and keep track of your hours.

    Other items to consider:

    - Who purchased the parts?

    - Did you spent  time selecting or ordering the components?

    - Did you have to drive to a store to buy them?

    - Did you put them on a credit card that charges you interest?

    - How long between when you laid out cash and the person pays you?

    - Are you going to be offering "tech support" afterwards?

  3. After the cost of the equipment and parts, negotiate with them, it depends on how powerful it is too.

  4. what ever they will pay you to do it, after your cost for the parts.
