How much should I charge for rent?

I have a house in the downtown area of my city and i was thinking about renting it out. I was not sure how much i should charge? It has 3 rooms, 1 bath, a kitchen, living room etc.

That is a hard question to answer without knowing where it is.

Go on craigslist.org and search for similiar properties and charge about what they are charging.  Without knowing the area nobody here can give you an valid figure.

obviously, since i don't know where the city is i wouldnt be able to give you an opinion. but i'd do one of two things: 1. call up a realtor in your area and tell them you are interested in renting out a unit. give them all the pertinent info you have on the apartment (the exact location, exact square footage etc. ) and ask them what comparable units are being rented out for in the area.   2. look up comparable units on craigslist.com and get a general idea of what comparable units are being rented out for.
