How much should I charge my neighbor for dog-sitting this weekend?

I'm taking care of my next-door neighbor's very sweet, but very rambunctious, 1-year old golden retriever this weekend (Friday morning til tonight.) Overall I didn't have to do much except feed the dog twice a day and walk her 4-5 times a day. Normally I'd charge $50 bucks a day for dogsitting, but the thing is, my neighbor has loaned me her car a few times and is just generally really nice to me, so I feel like maybe I should ask for a little less? However, she's loaded, and I'm.....well, I need the money pretty badly. So what I charge her?

  1. Neighbors help each other out.

Charge her half your normal fee.

Comment- wow, $50 a day is a lot! I use pet sitters all the time and never pay over 30 a day.

  2. I'm surprised that she didnt discuss that with you before she asked you to dog sit.

I dont know what dog sitters generally get but 150 for the weekend would be too much for me to pay.
