  1. 25 dollars.  Is it hard to reset it?  If not maybe a little less.  Is she a friend?

  2. Its a very very simple job. Explain it over the phone for free.

  3. why can't your client change the password herself? you should call her and explain over the phone. You can't charge for just changing a password even 9yr old kids can do that..

  4. As has been said, do it over the phone.....no charge but ask for a testimonial, works wonders.

  5. it is usually a good measure to charge by the hour. See how much technicians charge on average, and go a bit lower, so you keep her as a client. You can add the gas to that, but usually clients dont care much about that, so just tell em how much it costs.

  6. The thing is that most people who ask for computer help don't know how much the problem is actually WORTH, so don't worry about offending anyone if you charge them a little too much.

I would charge $40. This is as much as some people charge for an hour of work. If you calculate the drive along with the time spent, you'll be spending more than an hour there.

Use your judgment, though. It may be worth less or more.

    Good luck!

  7. a  60 cents a mile for driving to cover your gas, plus what ever you hourly rate is for the time. which will be not much. it would probably be more worth it to just charge the hourly rate and do it over the phone.

  8. $50.00
