How much should I charge to babysit if I am going on vacation with them?

I am 15 years old and just started babysitting for this family. It is a single mom who is going back to school and is currently trying to find a part time job. She usually would pay me $10 and hour but today I agreed for $7 an hour until she finds a job. She is going to pay all expenses, but how much should I charge to babysit her son who is 7 years old?

I would definitely up my price- odds are you will end up doing a LOT of the caretaking. We had a huge family vacation this summer and one of my relatives hired a caretaker to come along to take care of her disabled aunt. I felt SOOO sorry for the poor caretaker- she worked constantly. Definitely make sure you're getting paid well.

Stick with your $7 an hour rate but bring a long a small journal and keep track of your schedule each day so there are no disputes over how much she should be paying you.
