Looking to buy a used car. However, I do not have much money nor do I have any income since I am a student. I want to buy a decent car that will last New England winters. How much should I save up? At least $3000 or $4000? What should I look for in a car? Any tips on buying used cars? Any place I should look?

  2. for $4,000

    look for

98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00

these are all reliable and will last longer than other cars in this price range.

  3. since your in england i bet it snows their. dont get a cheap front or rear wheel drive, get the AWD its more reliableand its faster. i would say in the price range your at i would go with a a volvo s40 or a 960, or any kind of subaru all of them are 4wd standard. those cars are around your price range. the volvo is a little bit more expensiver because its a volvo.

  4. Go to a car auction. You should be able to get a decent car for $4,000 or less. Just be sure to take a mechanic with you to check the engine and stuff.
