I was asked to walk a 1st grader home from school everyday (Monday-Friday) for 2 weeks. We go to the same school but I am a 10th grader. I will pick her up from class, walk her home (10 minute walk) and then come back to the school so I can bike home. How much do you think is a reasonable amount for 2 weeks?

  1. You should do it for free. Karma will repay you eventually.

  2. $100

  3. First of all, I think it's best if you don't ask for any money at all. Just do it, and if you ever need a favour, you can be sure that they'll be willing to help you the same way you helped them. But if you're insistent on asking for money, you're doing 20 minutes a day for 10 days. That's 200 minutes, which is just over 3 hours' worth of work. 3 hours for a 6 year old at $8 an hour is $24. I think $25-$30 is more than enough.

  4. Five hundred thousand million pounds.

  5. $20. 10 minute for 2 weeks is less than 2 hours worth of work. If you ask for $20 you will make more than $10/hour. Not bad for a high schooler. There are lots of adults that do make that much.

  6. Can't you just put the kid on your handle bars or on your shoulders and peddle them home so you don't have to make the trip back?

Either way, I'd charge $2 a trip.. That's $40 by the end of the two weeks and it is plenty of money to get yourself something at Hot Topic.

  7. 20 DOLLARS
