  1. Absolute minimum of $5.  Give $10 or even $20.  You'll feel better, both you and the church will be blessed, and the breakfast will be closer to achieving it's goal.....raising money.  It's not about giving the appropriate value of the meal.  It's about the church raising money in a fun way.

These type are functions are great!  "What is the purpose?" some will say.  At least the people are doing something for the money and not just standing there with their hand out for an offering.  It's a great fellowship opportunity for the people, as well.  These functions are a fun way to bring a new guest without the pressure of attending a regular service.

So go....have fun.....enjoy the sweet pancakes, and pony up, Buttercup!

  2. Two Dollars.

  3. That's for you to decide

  4. Nothing. They should pay you to attend.

  5. go with your heart

  6. When my church has functions like that, I generally give the amount that I would normally pay for that particular meal at a restaurant.I realize that some people look at this as a "freebie", and there are always those who will give more, but I like to use the price of the meal at a restaurant as my measuring stick.I hope that this helps.

  7. all of it!!!!

  8. If it is the church you regularly attend, you should give the fair market value of the meal (and you can guess at that by how much you would pay for it at a restaurant, like IHOP), plus some.  If you have brought guests, you might also do the same for them.

If you have been invited as a guest, you don't have to give anything, unless you were moved by the program, or were deeply appreciative in some way.

  9. Give that much that it feels like a sacrifice. Between you and God

  10. you give whatever you feel right....

    if you have much......help others

if you have little....give what you can afford...no matter how small the amount.

    God Bless you

    with love...."D"

  11. $5.00

  12. Whatever feels right

  13. At least $5.00, but more if you can afford it.

  14. I have often wondered what is the point of a Pancake Breakfast for a church?  What does it have to do with spiritual food?  Depending on the stomach, what does a pancake have to do with food?

To get attendance up?  To get money?  Money for what?  Jesus said, "You received free, give free." (Matt. 10:8)  So it should not be for teaching scriptural matters.

I have no concept of this.  If something had to be charged, it was only for the materials used divided into the number of servings expected.  And never just for a meal itself.  There was always something done or needed doing that required a meal to be connected to it.

  15. About $6
