  1. It depends if it is in his church or if it is off site.  If it is in the church then $200 is good if it is off-site then expect to pay about $300-$350

  2. Hi.  Yes, that would be very generous!  I work as a Lutheran Church secretary and our guidelines are a minimum of $100.  If he is a family friend, you may want to even think of $150....but $200 would be very generous.  I am sure he will appreciate it!

I hope you have a beautiful wedding day!

  3. Ask around to see how much he has charged others before. If you can't find out this information then anywhere from $ 50.00 to $200.00.

  4. Yes, $200-$250 should be plenty.

  5. The officiant at our wedding was a family friend and county judge. We invited him and his whole family. We were going to give him $100, but when we saw he even brought us a gift, we decided to give him $200.

  6. Did he ask for payment?  Or did he offer to do this as his wedding gift to you?  If he is wishing to do this as a gift, then dinner & a thoughtful thank you note is sufficient.  However if he inclined that he was expecting payment then I would think anywhere from $50-200.
