Question:

How much should I pack for 3 months in Ireland?

I will be staying in Northern Ireland for 3 months (May - July). Belfast will be my homebase. For one week I will be doing a motorcycle tour of the west coast. I have heavy motorcycle gear (helmet, jacket with armor, textile pants with armor, and boots). This takes up around 22lbs.

Therefore, I have to be very selective with my clothing/shoes. Total baggage allowance is 50lbs. This leaves only 28lbs. I'm at my wits end at how much to pack! I don't want to exceed my limit.

  1. Thats a bit of a hard one as our weather over here in Ireland is very changeable!  Although it should be warm (even if its not too sunny) so I would suggest tee-shirts, shirts, jeans, a light jacket, shorts,1 pair of runners & 1 pair of shoes and maybe a jumper.  Not too much!  Anyway it would be better to be under the weight restriction than over it, also the clothes over here are very cheap!  (I mean in Pennys & Dunnes etc..) So I wouldn't worry too much on that!  Hope you have a great time when you do come over & I'd say the Motorcycle tour your going on should be great!  The west coast of Ireland is really beautiful & you'll be seeing it the best way on your Motorbike!  Good luck & Best wishes!... :-)
