I'm planning a honeymoon in New Orleans. My cost is going to include airfare, car rental, lodging, food, and spending money. How much do you think I should spend?

  1. You didn't mention how many days you were planning on spending.  If it's a quick 3-day-weekend honeymoon, you should be prepared to spend about $1000, which includes all the travel expenses you listed.  If it's longer, like about a week, expect to spend double that amount.  That's still pretty inexpensive for a honeymoon.  I hope you have fun!!  (And I'm glad you're going to New Orleans- they SO need the tourism revenue so they can rebuild after Katrina.  Very nice thing to do.)

  2. It really depends on your budget and how much shopping around you can do for the honeymoon. Consider some Fiji honeymoons they are a great value and knocks the socks off thouse other cookie cutter resorts.

Fiji is a great place to go with exotic sights and is pure Paradise.

  3. Spend what you can feasibly afford! I'm not sure where you're traveling from exactly, but a honeymoon in the states is about as cost effective as you can get honestly.  Just account for spending money.  It's usually where people under-budget. Check out deals online from REPUTABLE businesses, like Expedia, to get package deals.  They really are much more affordable that way.  You can get airfare, hotel accommodations, and a rental car in a bundle price that really makes things not only less expensive but easier on the mind too!

Good luck, and above all, have fun!! Congratulations!

  4. around 2000.Thats how much we're spending.

  5. Spend what you can afford.

I've only been to New Orleans once but I can't remember needing a car there (most places are walkable and if not there is public transportation) so that is something you can save on.

If you are going to be doing any sightseeing (spending money) you should do some research online for what you want to see. When I went with my parents, we looked all the places up online and got all the prices figured out and also a bunch of coupons!

  6. you only need to spend what you are comfortable spending, you most likely will not need a car though

  7. We are going to antigua-all inclusive for 4,700.
