How much should I pay for "toll roads" in France, from Monaco to Lyon (it is about 500 km) ?

  1. It's gonna be 40.50 euros (18.90 E + 21.60 E). You can pay cash (lanes with a pictogram representing a person), credit card (go to the lanes that say CB).

    At the first toll station you will have nothing to pay, just get a ticket, which you will show at the next toll station.

    On some highways there are day rates and night rates so it also depends on when you are traveling. I gave you the regular fare for a car.


  2. Well, you should be paying a pretty penny.  When I drove from France down to Monaco via Lyon, there was multiple tolls... I would save about 70 euros just for the tolls.  Some of them were 30 euros and 20 euros, so put aside 70 euros.... just in case,if you don't use it all, thats still good, but I think around 60-70 euros should do it.  Also, they do except credit cards as well.  Mind your speed, as they are tough on that. I believe they time you from toll to toll and if you get there too fast, they might have police there to give you a ticket. (Not cheap as I got a speeding ticket in France.)
