So I looked at a 2002 Acura RSX with 60,000km on it, really nice car. They are asking 13,950. Is that too pricey??

  1. Go to Kelly Blue Book and figure out EXACTLY what it's worth ... I work in insurance litigation and this is how we figure out how much vehicles are worth before and after accidents.

  2. I think thats quite a good deal they usually cost more.

  3. I too have been pricing cars and you can get what is called true market value if you go to Edmunds.com. That is a great site. It gives you all kinds of information on any vehicle.  It shows what the average price is on a vehicle.  Also check KBB.com and NADA.com.

    Good Luck!

  4. if its in good condition blue book value says  $11,465

  5. try to get down to 12,000

  6. Sounds like a nice car possible 12,000 or 12,250 would be a good price

  7. Check out kelly blue book.

  8. Go to: www.kelleybluebook.com

Enter in all the information you know about the car. Be sure to click "retail pricing." That will give you a good idea if that is a fair price. Make sure you take any vehicle to a mechanic for an inspection before purchasing. Also, check the trunk to make sure you don't see any sign of water damage or a water line. The worst kind of car to buy is a "flood car." Also demand a "Carfax" on the vehicle to see how many owners and to make sure it wasn't wrecked and has a salvage title.
