How much should I pay my friend to check in on my dog for the weekend?

I'll leave Friday night and she'll stop in about 3-4 times a day until I return on Monday afternoon. She didn't ask for any money but I know she can use it. I have asked her to do this a handful of times and don't want her to feel as though I am taking advantage of her.

My dog is a relatively calm 7 yr old chocolate lab. He requires little more than food, water and 5 minutes to potty in the yard. No walk required.

  1. I would just make sure that it's more than enough to compensate her for the gas she uses and a little extra.   I would say about 30 dollars, or maybe more, depending on how much she has to drive.

  2. pay like she's a professional dog sitter.  check out different websites for there prices.  or just pay her what you would want her to pay you if you were in the reverse situation.

  3. probably like atleast $20

no matter how litte work she's doing she's still doing you a HUGE favor

  4. i answer this yesterday!

  5. 25 dollars is a descent amount

  6. $10 for each day she's coming over

  7. It surely is nice of her to do this for you.  Make sure she gets gas money and maybe a dinner out for all her troubles.  I had live in sitters last year when I went on vacation.  I didn't pay, but they ate my food and used my house any way they wanted to.
