  1. I wouldn't run it could make you sore and then you won't play as well also running the day before will not get you in shape for the day after. it takes weeks to get into shape

  2. Running the day before a game isn't the smartest idea. Doing it for one day isn't going to help you at all. You have to run consistently. What I do everyday is sprint 60 feet then walk 60 feet and do that until I'm worn out. But my advice is NOT to run before your game. The only thing it'll do for you is make you tired and soar. So just run consistently and do other exercises other than running. To improve your volleyball skills, you could work on footwork. If you have squares as tiles in your house, you can do a checkerboard exercises, just do every other square and move it quickly trying to keep your feet in the squares. :-)

  3. don't run the day before. i would run a couple days then use the other day as a rest so you're not too tired on the day of the tournament. you really just need to eat healthy and don't stress yourself out. you just need to stay calm. even if you're not in shape it's fine. you'll do just as well if you don't run the day before as you would if you ran 20 miles ((probably better)) because you wont be tired.

  4. maybe take a walk(nice easy walk) stretch, relax, just like walk around the block i'd say usually before a game my coach tells us to run around the gym two or three times then stretch, stay warm, it relaxes ur muscles, when ur cold ur muscles get tense, stiff practically impossible to play vball with no flexibility

  5. A normal volleyball practice would help sharpen your skill. Nothing else is needed.

Just relax, and rest well. Eat healthy, and drink healthy.

After all, it is just another game.

  6. I wouldn't.  Run Thursday and Friday... and see how sore/tired you get.  If you think you can run Saturday without getting sore then run a little.

I would rest the day before, stretch out a few times Saturday and find another way to get your heart rate going a little.

The last thing you want to do is overdo it and be slow on the court Sunday.  Running the day before really won't do a LOT for you anyways, so its not worth the risk.  At this point, you stand to lose more performance than you can gain.

    Good luck!

  7. don't run the day before because you could get tired the next day
