  1. I'm taking it that NM stands for New Mexico. I did a search for cheapest round trip from Albuquerque to Shannon Airport in the west of Ireland (via Chicago, O'Hare airport) at the site below. At low season it costs approximately $950 - $1,000 per person.

For accommodation, you could stay at a family run Bed and Breakfast houses which will cost you from 30 Euro ($43 approx) per person sharing, per night, or a hotel which will cost you from 45 Euro ($64) per person per night, if you book at 'Last Minute Rates' on the last site below.

    Enjoy your holiday!

  2. I am going there in December. I will be staying for 12 days.

From my research, I found that(depending on airline)

price for flight, round trip can cost from $550 (Delta) to

$1000+(Virgin Atlantic is the next up with $850)

I am leaving from Florida, but most of the flights go through new york anyway before going to Dublin.

As for lodging and food and the like.

Hotels will run about 50 Euro's(about $120) and up which is insanely steep for my purposes. The next step in price down from there would be Public houses(25 Euros- aprox.$65) and then the cheapest are hostels which can range from 10 to 40 Euros depening on location and whether or not you want to have a dorm(other people) or a suite(private)

Food is about 10-15 euro's a day depending on whether or not you want to buy food from a market(5-10 Euros) or eat at restaurants(10-15 Euros)

Travel by train from town to town is faster but harder to get for more rural towns, it is also more expensive(30-50 euros)

Travel by bus is the cheapest and most accessable way to travel, tickets are about (12-15 Euros)

But! if you are old enough, car rental is the most economical and least stressful way to travel. You must also be brave enough to drive on the other side of the road.

So there you go! If you go the cheapest way all the way through, it costs about 100 dollars per night, give or take a few.

Hope this helps, "Ask.com" seems to be the best way to start research.
