How much should I sell my bedroom set for?

I bought my bedroom set no more than 4 years ago for about $4000-$5000 and now I want to sell it.

The entire collection is really unique & made of beautiful solid oak and includes:

*HEADBOARD (massive - about 8' tall, 10' long) with drawers & panel mirrors above the bed, plus drawers & bookcases on both sides.

*QUEEN SIZE box spring waterbed mattress (it unzips & has about 10 water tubes inside).

*DRESSER (6-drawers plus a "door" in the middle which has a cubby hole space & another drawer) & MIRROR (3 panels- the 2 side panels also open & have shelves inside).

*TALL CHEST (6 drawers & another "door" which has 2 shelves).

The whole set is in perfect condition*

First off your locality plays a role in resale.

Then water beds are even more of a personal value,meaning a person specifically looking for a water bed with the details you are describing.

Then the deprecation of the bed when it came out of the store most often 50%

After that I would say locality of resale around 15-30% off per year.

If indeed it is solid wood (Oak) the wood may be more of a value than the resale as a bed plus design.In your area or to a person who buys

wood to re-purpose.

I have a wonderful similar design which is most likely a older model and happened on it for free. Thank you to a dear friend and her family.

Mine is King size.

Today I might get $500.00 dollars for the bed if I was needing to sell.

Perhaps my best bet would be to inquire at a locale resale shops, those that cater to higher end such as estate sellers.

My answer would be $2500.00 and best offer after.

Oh my it sounds beautiful!! I wouldn't sell it for no more than $2000 and no less than $1500. Did you put it on ebay w/ pics? I'm sure if you put it on their you can get @ least what you paid for it.
