How much should I sell my horse for?

My Anglo-arab is 12 this summer and I'm debating if I should sell him, and how much to sell him for if I do.

He is a 16h dark bay with a star and a white sock on his left hind. He has shown successfully in A rated arab shows in hunter equ. and dressage (level 1), and is always in top ten, he jumps consistently at 3ft (Although has only attended B-rated jumping shows), and we are currently taking lessons with an ex-Olympian eventer. He does have the reminisce of an abscess on his cheek and a scar and his left hind (from when he was a colt), but it doesn’t interfere with his movement, and he loves to jump.

-Oh and he's papered and all the jazz , also has great ground manners (clipping, loading, tying etc), and does trails, lunges, groundlines.

  1. All I can say

pictures are worth a thousand words but NOT PRICE

I have to see him in life and get to know him

no one can say it over the net      good luck

But remember that money is tight right now

why not just keep him ????

  2. Here are a couple of sites for horse prices:

  3. Well, my 1st question is... is he registered as an Anglo-Arab w/ AHA?? That would affect his value :) in a good way! I would also advertise what he has done at shows (winnings, regional titles, etc...) and what training he's had. I would think that if those scars don't affect how he moves, then its just considered a blemish...

AHA has classifieds, along with dreamhorse.com and equine.com... you could also make ads to post in local tack shops, when you go to horse shows, etc....

  4. I would think your trainer could help you with that

going to shows and if he wins ?

tell people that he is for sale

    Money is tight right now

so asking to much might not work

But asking to little you might not get a good home

I can't tell you how much you should sell him for

depends on your area  And how much he has won ???
