  1. Go here:

    http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/default....

Enter your make, model, year, and check all the features you have on your car, then enter the mileage and choose the type of sale (private, trade-in, etc) and it will give you the value of your car. Set the price accordingly. Normally sellers set the price a few hundred above the KBB price, and then say something like "open to negotiations/offers" so they have a little room for negotiating the price without taking much of a loss.

  2. You have to do some research with the option and trim and mileage on your car.

You can use Kelley Blue Book(www.kbb.com) to find out the price for your car - for Trade-in, Private Party, the Retail value. Read carefully about the condition description to see which category your car belong to - most people think their car is excellent where it really does not apply to cars most of the cars.

You can use www.autotrader.com to find out what other similar mileage/trim cars are available around your area, and selling on what price.

Now, you should ask yourself if you want to sell fast or fishing for some dummy buyer for more. The small car market are hot, so you got your chance.

    - List your price a little lower retail market price if you want to take some time to try sell at high price. (It could be months with no one interested. You got chance as small car are hot. If you are selling an SUV, the chances are even lower.)

    - List your price a little higher to the private party price, and ready for seller to neg off a little if you want to sell fast.

  3. There are seveal online sites to price you car.

    Kelly Blue Book

    www.kbb.com

    Edmunds

    www.edmunds.com

    Nada

    www.nada.com

Also try looking on the "For Sale" sites such as Autotrader.com and Cars.com as well as your local Craigslist to get some local area pricing. Look for private party values and plan to add about $500-$1,000 to that for some negotiation room if you want.

  4. KBB and Edmon's is a good source but try here

to get a barometer of what the 03 is selling for. Is it the S model or base MINI? They really retain their value, in fact I believe it is one of the top cars retaining well over 70% after 3 years. But to give you a # w/o pics, mods, how drive...

With gas prices the way they are and the base MINI getting around 40mpg you may find yourself regretting selling it. Not to mention the smiles with every mile on the twisty roads you will miss. Good luck with the sale
