  1. it all depends on the quality of the photo you take and the description that you write. if you dont want it to go for silly money like £5.00 just put a reserve on the doll. i would say you would get about £15.00 for the doll.

there is a doll on ebay at the moment its item numbee is 160267427542 if you look at that it should give you some more information on the doll as well.

    hope this helps!!!!

  2. 100

  3. FIrst, you need to be sure it a #1 Barbie.

She should have a very white body & a hole in each of her feet that has copper tubing in it. The #1  Barbie had a round stand with 2 metal prongs sticking up that went through her shoes & into the feet.

The only clothes she should have are a zebra striped swimsuit, black open toe shoes with holes in them & a pair of white sunglasses. She should have gold hoop earrings.

You need to have very good pictures on your auction & be prepared to answer a lot of questions about the doll. Vintage collectors are very, very picky when it comes to things like hair, face paint & nail polish.

The fact that there isn't a box will automatically cause her value to drop.

Do some research on ebay & look for dolls like yours. Get a magnifying glass & find if there are any markings on her butt & on her neck. Collectors will want to know.

Paul David is no longer considered any kind of authority on anything, at least not to real collectors. He has cheated a lot of customers over the years & was permanently banned from most doll conventions. Do not trust anything he says.

A better resource for vintage doll questions would be Sandi Holder of Sandi Holder's Doll Attic or Marl. B Davidson at Marl & B.

  4. without the box not much

  5. As Barbie prices have dropped over the past 5 years, I'd say take anything you can get and run!!! Prices will never go high again in our lifetimes. Book value of 5,000.00 is only for a perfect never removed from box doll that sold to the wealthy Japanese. You'll be lucky if you get 500.00
