How much should I spend on a vintage free bird road bike?

I am looking for a used road bike and found a vintage free bird that is a good size for me and has new brakes, and basically works well enough since I am just starting out...however it is $200, and I have no idea if this is too much or a fair price...anyone care to help?

I've never heard of a Free Bird before, so I can only speculate that it's an X-Mart bike and worth $50 or less. Knowing what component level is on it might help with a better determination.

Sorry, I never heard of it. What does vintage mean? 10 or 50 years old?

Most old road bikes go for less than $100, many for $30 to $70. If it's some old off brand cheap old bike $50 max.
