How much should I spent on Cable or Sat?

I want to get HBO and Show Time (I like Entourage).

I have a 50 inch Plasma (older not 1080P). And I want an HD-DVR.

I don’t want to spend more than 50.00 a month. Is that asking too much? Or do I need to up my budget.

Unfortunately you'll need to up your budget.

The basic cable/Satellite price is about $50 plus about $15 for EACH premium channel package - so you're looking at about $80 not including equipment etc.

You may be able to get a promotional deal where you get those premium channels free for up to six months but thats about it. Sorry.

I think you budget is fine.

I would go with Directv. 85 HDTV Channles.

Package start at 29.99 And for 10.00 more you get HD.

Look at this link from Directv. This has everything your ask for plus the HD-DVR and the Premium channles.
