How much should I tip to pizza delivery dude?

The pizza cost 15.14. WEather here is good. I live 1.4 miles aways from PIzza hut

you should have gone the 1.4 miles to pick it up yourself and avoid the tip. lazy :)

15.14 * 10% = 16.65 + 0.16 for gas money (assume the car the delivery person drives gets 25 mpg and gas is $2.80/gallon) = 16.81.

tip an extra dollar if it's raining or 2 if it's snowing.

I've done that work - I usually got $1-$2 as tip, and the distance was not an issue.  If the customer thought it was so small, they'd have driven to get the pizza themselves.

delivery boys make minimum wage...... tip at least 5 dollars.....they saved you gas money by delivery

Tip like $4, bare minimum. I always seriously hook up the delivery person because as you will notice, your food will come quicker next time. Also, it's just nice to throw an extra few bucks at the guy. Seriously an extra dollar or 2 will make his night.

these people delivering depend on your tips to live... they prob get paid about 4.80 an hour plus .40$ a delivery

oh and yes since their a tipped person they can be paid 4.80 an hour.

so just like someone said throw some money there way and you will see them get to your place first....

Imagine they have 3 delivery's

Your order came in last yet you get pizza there about 1 time a month so they decide why not deliver your's first....

It's easily true I have worked for the service plus done the same... I also at school ordered almost everyday.... They always got there on perfect time because we tipped well.
