How much should a HS freshman charge to tutor

I'm gonna be a freshman in the fall and I am thinking about tutoring to make some money. I'm not sure how much to charge, though. I'll probably be tutoring kids in elementary school. Also, has anyone else done this? Any tips?

if you're really smart u mite want 2 charge a little high becuz their paying for ur brains to teach them but at the same time don't overcharge becuz remember: their elementary kids. so i would say about $3/hr.

Talk to the child's parents about setting up an hourly rate. I'd say about 7-10 dollars an hour would be appropriate for someone your age, and chances are if the tutoring is effective, you will be tipped. Good Luck!
