it's more about the quality of study rather than the overall hours. Looking at previous exams/tests or good examples of essays can help you do better in tests. However, probably three hours maximum would be a good guideline. Try not to study on weekends.

I think no more than one hour per academic class, but that never seemed to be the case for my son.  He always took band and was on a 4x4 schedule (i.e. only four classes each semester with each lasting 90 minutes per day).  Therefore, he never had more than three academic classes, but usually had more than 3 hours of homework each night.

I'm in 11th too in all APs/honors.

people who say 3 hours a day are crazy.

11th grade is your most important year for college.

You need to keep your grades up and also start studying for SATs.

Personally, my homework/studying takes from 6pm-11pm for 7 classes, and I still have time for clubs and school.

Whatever gets you the grade is you how long you need to study.

Plus, you work hard as a junior, senior year should be easy :)
