How much should i ask for i am a nanny in minnesota?

i work with a 1 year old a 2 year old and a 10 year old i recieve 1 week paid vacation 2 paid sick days and all major holidays paid i make 220 a week plus i recieved a cell phone i work at least 7 hrs a day 5 days a week no other benefits i drive 26 miles each way to work should i be asking for more? I have 8 credits in child development and have worked in the child care field for 6 years

  1. We pay paid holidays (the main ones), no vacation,  and no sick days.  Our nanny watches our one 10 month old daughter and gets paid 350/week.  It breaks down to 10/hour.


  2. $8.00 an hr. & pay your taxes on it too!  Don't get in any hot water with the IRS!!!

  3. Most nannies make at least $10- $15 /hr, and even more for a highly qualified nanny. Right now you're making just over $6 per hour, so I think you are definetly being under paid. I started out making $8 an hour for my first nanny job nearly 10 years ago, and that was just for one child!
