Question:

How much should i charge for babysitting?

I run a babysitting service in my own home. I have one family interested, but the $5 i usually charge per hour would end up costing them $200 for the week. I want to be fair but i don't want to rip myself off or drain the parents of all their cash. What is a reasonable price for watching a 10 year old boy for 40 hours a week?

  1. CAHRGE $9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Maybe instead of charging by the hour, you could charge by the week, say, well, If you have a goal in money, put a good sum of it into it, because 40 hours a week is a lot of work. I'm impressed! I'm just starting out in my business, so I hope i helped a little!

  3. i'ld charge 400$ if they are sort of wealthy 300$ if sort of wealthy

and 200$ and below if they are sort of not wealthy

  4. i say go with your regular 5$ because that is a lot of time taken out of your weekly plans to babysit the boy and really 10 is one of ages that kids could take advantage of their babysitter. I did when i was 10 when my aunt was cousin was babysitting me.

  5. A ten year old boy doesn't need much watching.. maybe just a video game or two. How about $2 or $3 an hour?

  6. you should charge them around $250 a week. dont be cheap on yourself because you're taking care of their child.
