Question:

How much should i charge for my handknitted items.?

i make headbands, scarfs, socks, hats, and stuffed animals. and now making a sweater. but if i sold it how much should i sell it for?

my faverate type of yarn is the cheaper brands, but they dont look very cheap. and they are soft. the yarn cost $1.87.

oh and how much should i pay for a fun-fur scarf? it yarn is a small packet and cost 4 dollars each. one packet makes about 16 inches on a 18 stich scarf. on size 10 needles.

One way to guesstimate how much you should charge for something you made is to figure out how long it took you to make it and times that by an hourly 'wage'.  Also figure into it the cost of materials.  Sometimes the amount seems high because of the hours it took to make something, but sometimes it gives you a good indicator of how much to charge for something you made.  Hope this helps.  Good luck!

My mother makes things as you do and most of her stuff sells on ebay for around $20 for the small items and the sweaters have made her from $45 up to $75 depending on the size and details in it.Now as for the fun-fur scarf,I would not know what they are going for as she does not make much with it.
