Im going to build a website but i have no idea how much i should charge to build it for them? How much should i charge? Its an hair salon website

  1. Well, I would base it on the time it will take to develop it and whether or not you will purchase any software or art for the website.  

    If it is for a friend or family member, then maybe 25.00 - 30.00 dollars per hours of worktime.  And really get it done quick.  You can do a "mock" website to get an idea of the time involved, then provide the hair salon with an estimate based on that, you may want to offer the hair salon one or two "revisions".   Make sure you put in a disclaimer that says the estimate is an approximate price and the final amount due may be higher or lower than the estimated price.

    If not go higher.  I charged 75.00 per hour for being on site at a place to straighten out their computers ( data entry errors).


  2. You should charge about $75 in total. Some would go to the time you spent, getting the template, and making sure the place is happy. Then you would want to charge a little more to pay the webhost to host the site along with money for getting people to that site through advertising.
