  1. Wow...Are you absolutely sure about how many days she's been preggers ? Are you calculating by the first day she came into heat ?

    Average gestation is 63 days...At 74, she's WAY overdo..

So lets assume your calculation is a bit off...Let her eat as much as she wants ! If she were in distress, i.e. there's a blockage preventing the kittens from getting out, she wouldn't want to eat at all..

Please plan a visit to the vet on monday if she doen't have them, o.k. ?

And keep an eye on her temp...It'll go up a couple of degrees before she delivers and anything more than a couple degrees is trouble !

  2. She is late in having the kittens, she should eat the same amount as normal but kitten food.

She should see a vet cats are pregnant for 60-67 days.

  3. For growing kittens to one year, and pregnant to nursing cats. Builds strong bones and teeth. Fun shape is easy to chew  try this http://www.elevenplaza.com/nutro-max-cat...

  4. Thank you for adding to the pet overpopulation problem!  While you're waiting for her to give birth why don't you go to your local shelter to pick out the 4 - 6 cats or kittens that will be put to death since you took homes from them.  GREAT JOB!

  5. Beck is right. if your cat is 74 days gone then something is wrong or you have miscalculated. 60 to 65 days with 63 days being the norm.

give your queen as much high quality food as she wants. she should be on kitten food now and clear through the time she completely weans the kits (which is 8 weeks)

please have your cat spayed when the kits are weaned, not only will you stop from adding to the terrible problem of pet overpopulation but your cat will be much healthier, happier and live longer. she will also be less susceptible to certain diseases and infections.

ETA: oh I see... someone doesn't want to hear "get your cat spayed" well, then who ever gave me a thumbs down can get their butts up bright and early in the morning and come work with me down at the shelter, wouldn't take long before you changed your mind and realized how many homeless cats and kittens there are.

  6. She must eat as much as she wants. But are you sure she is 74 days pregnant? Cats are pregnant for like 2 months. Call your vet!

  7. hi

cats are only pregnant for 9 weeks. Gie or take 3 days. She cannot be due yet cats rarely go overdue, but they do gestate for 9 weeks only...

i had a cat when pregnant wo was so so greedy, alone she was eating about 3 tins plus about 4 pouches and dry food too. She had 6 kittens so obviously needed the energy to grow the large brood!

Ignore the pompous on their box people who moan about you 'letting your cat have kittens' they go on and on about it, you quite likely ALREADY KNOW all they go on about and you didnt ask about the morals of having kittens but purely a question about how much she is eating and commented on her length of pregnancy.

And once again i would like to point out there is no kitten death row in the UK so does that make it ok?
