  1. A regular acoustic or a classical?

What's all this about a girl's guitar?  It seems to be getting increasingly ubiquitous lately.

When I started classical lessons I realized I'd need a classical guitar, and I found one at a flea market of all places.  It was about $50... I'm learning flamenco now, but I'm not quite ready to invest in a flamenco guitar.  Get a guitar that's good to start out on, the most important thing is to practice and as you develop your own style keep your eyes out for that perfect guitar.  They're outrageously expensive, but my dream acoustic guitar is the Takamine.  Keep saving your money and I hope that down the road you can invest in one.  You play acoustic but f you ever decide you want an electric you can easily get a cheap one at a pawn shop or flea market... but I would save my money, and look at Fender.

Just make sure you can get your money back if you don't like it.

  2. I personally wouldn't buy a first guitar from eBay.

If you can, get a friend who plays guitar and go to a music shop.

One other thing to consider is whether you want a nylonl or steel-string acoustic guitar. Nylon is better for classical music, steel-string for most other genres. Classical (nylon) guitars are often significantly cheaper and you can get a good beginners one made by Valencia for $99 AUD (which is probably alot less in US Dollars)

  3. Ok

Rule #1 for buying guitars (Electric or Acoustic) Always try it out before you buy it because even if you have heard one played of the exact same model doesnt mean this one will sound like it  Every guitar has its own sound

my advice is to go to a local music store tell them your price range and they will help you find a good guitar for you  by trying them out

  4. dont buy from ebay go to a music store and buy one there for around $200

  5. well i payed 140 for mine at a local guitar shop
