I am running a 3.5 mile race on Thursday at 7:15 pm. I am wondering how much i should run tonight if any, as well as how much i should run exactly the night before. Also, my last meal before the race is going to be lunch at around 1230 on Thursday, should i eat anything before the race from then on?

  1. You'll want to eat something light in the afternoon before the race.

While this distance doesn't require a taper, your legs may be fresher if you take a day off from running the night before.

  2. I would do something around 5 to 6 miles tonight at about 80 to 85 % effort, then tomorrow would either take off or run real easy 60% maybe 2 miles.  Would eat a huge meal around 12:30 to 1 for lunch Thurs. and not eat anything on, just drink at least 100 ounces of water during the day.  Good Luck
