I went to the doctor for an ultrasound and he said everything looked fine but they only weighed 2.7 lbs each. Is that too small?? I am 30 weeks Thursday and I have another ultrasound next week. I know that they can come as early as 32 weeks and I have already had a coupld pre-term labor scares. I pray they will be at least 5 lbs each. Anyone know anything about how big they should be?? And please do not tell me every baby or every pregnancy is different - I know that. Just looking for some answers. Thank you~

  1. About 3 lbs and 15 in long.

  2. At 28 weeks 2.7 is perfect. The 'average' is 2.5lb so in a way, you are a little above average!

  3. That sounds about right to me. I'm having twins too! At my 30 week ultrasound they were just over 3 pounds each. (So it looks like you might be doing better than I am!) At my 34 week ultrasound one twin was 4 pounds 11 ounces and the other was 5 pounds 3 ounces. My doctors said to just keep doing what I'm doing because those weights are just where they want them to be at this point. Congrats on your twins!
