How much should u tip tattoo artists ?

I'm getting a tattoo on friday vertically down my spine its going to last about 1-2 hours and $200 how much should i tip em

I go for 15-20%, just you would any other service (wait staff, hair dresser, etc).  In my case I go with a solid 20% since the amount simply doesn't matter to me.

Oh, and the math is easier when I'm feeling the after-session wooginess.

I tip mine around what I would tip a waiter. My first tattoo cost $180 and I gave him $200.

I usually tip about 20 for a tattoo and 10 for a piercing. Just think of it as you were tipping a waitress or waiter, just remember jesus knows if you tip or not.

For a larger piece I tip the standard 15-20%, so for a $200 tattoo it would be $30-$40 tip.
