  1. I wouldn't spend anymore than twenty on the big door prize. You can find great items at local dollar stores.

  2. i just had a bridal shower for my sister in law and i spent about $10. i did a pack that had a coffee mug, a small pack of dunkin donuts coffee, and a small bottle of bailey's irish cream. most showers i go to it seems like the door prize is usually a picture frame or a bottle of lotion.. probably worth about $5 to $10.

  3. As a door prize, I always liked giving the winner the centerpiece or a plant or something. At first, it works as decor for your party and nobody realizes it is a prize. We just threw a bridal shower too and had the door prize be a beautiful vase ($2 from thrift store) filled with a bouquet of roses and other flowers ($9.99 or free if you have a garden!)

  4. not much. Maybe $5? Try Spencer's they have a bunch of stuff and it's cheap too!

  5. only a few dollars.

do candles, picture frames, little stuff like that. I would just go to the dollar store. Once I did a candle holder, candles for it, and a lighter.

  6. Go to the dollar store!  I just had my friend's shower this past weekend, and I asked one of the bridesmaids to purchase prizes for the shower games.  I suggested that she go to the dollar store.  She got an assortment of items: a glass picture frame, a candle snuffer, a small stationary kit, and a candle.  Remember, these are just little prizes that are supposed to make the shower fun; don't kill your wallet by spending lots of money.  I have to say that by getting dollar store prizes, making my own favors (chocolate dipped oreos) and by serving only chips, dip, cheese & crackers, and my homemade sangria, everyone had a blast.  I even had a guest call me the next day to tell me how beautiful of a shower I had!  So remember, it's not how much you spend; it's all about the experience.  Have fun!

  7. I spent $30 at B&B Works. We had a lot of this little sized lotions, soaps, shower gells, etc and one bigger basket as a grand prize. It worked out really well because everyone got something ( = There were about 15 people there.
