  1. When we took our first cruise our kids had such a great time in the Adventure Ocean youth program that we decided to tip them. We gave the kids money and asked them which youth staff leader was most friendly. We had the kids give them the money and the youth leaders were so shocked that we actually tipped them! They said that they never had been tipped and it made the kids feel really great about themselves! I'm not sure how much we gave each child but we tip them everytime now. They really appreciate it. However much you feel they deserve would be great. The cruise line doesn't even suggest you tip them but its really a nice thing to do. Royal Caribbean is a GREAT cruise line!! The kids really have a great time and my kids cried when we had to leave the adventure ocean area! They'll LOVE every minute of it! HAVE FUN!

  2. There was just a thread about this at CruiseCritic.com about this.  Some people said, "No need to tip", others said,  "If you really like the service, do tip them."  So it sounds like it's up to you.

If you want to check out the thread, or find lots of other info about cruising, go to the website, click on "Boards" at the top of the page, then choose your topic.

    Have a great cruise.

  3. $2 to 3 per child per hour or about $15 per child per 7- or 8-hour day, depending on how much time they're spending in children's activities, and towards the top end for the preschooler since these younger kids require so much more attention and are much harder to supervise and keep entertained at the same time.

  4. 0. I think you guys paid more than enough for the vacation.
