How much smoke are snowmobiles supposed to make?

i have a 1995 arctic cat zr 580 efi and it smokes alot including from under the hood is this normal

Your snowmobile is a two stroke, that means the oil is mixed with the gas, So you may have the oil injector set too rich. Also if it has set for awhile it will smoke but should go away when it warms up and cleans it out by running it.

It is normal when it first starts but if it keeps going even after its warmed up you may have a problem.

i dont think anything that smokes from under the hood is "normal"... but that could just be me...
