How much snow is needed to be able to run a snowmobile???

there is like 2 in. is that enough??

  1. No it's not enough unless you want to tear up your skis


  2. No 2" is not enough you will ruin your slides, and carbides very quickly also you will run the risk of overheating the engine.

    Generally my rule of thumb is 4" or more.

  3. you can, but you will wear out your slides, and carbides faster. you also run the risk of overheating your sled because there will not be enough snow to kick up into your heat exchangers for cooling purposes.
