How much spending money did u take for your honeymoon and where did you go?

Im thinking to take an around the world trip for 5 weeks (el salvador (12 nights, its cheap accomodation, plus i have family there), scotland in which we may not have to pay for accomodation for around 12 nights, italy (2 nights), new york (1 night) and a tropical island (unknown which one as yet for about 7 nights). I Am thinking $7000 for spending money (in australian dollars) what do u think? This is all excluding flights.

I took £1000 to Jamaica for two weeks. AU$7000 may be enough but it depends on what you want to do. We did things like helicopter rides and swimming with dolphins etc.  Our philosophy was that we would rather end up bringing money back with us than find that we were short of money, so I would say take as much as you can afford.
