How much spending money do I need in Cancun?

I'm 17, and I don't know how much I need, for shopping and stuff.... $500?

I don't need to pay for meals, its all-inclusive.

If you plan on leaving your resort and visiting the mayan ruins, swimming w/the dolphins or horseback riding etc.. you will need about $500. To warn you DO NOT carry all your cash with you.

You will have fun on 500 for a week.

Like the other poster said 800 better.

If buying from a street vendor cut price hes asking in half and start from there. Trust me they will take the half price your willing to give them.

They are professional negotiators though - best Ive seen ! Be prepared to walk and I gurantee you he will say " come back gingo 50 pesos it is " but they are so good they will make you get to the point of leaving. They are good..........

Cant live without it. Return the next day with a smile and start again.

i would take $500-$800, the extra $300 just in case.
