  1. Where in Mexico?!

Remember all inclusive means all what you drink or eat inside the hotel, but you'll probaly want to get out of the hotel at some point (especially if going there for 2 weeks)

Life in Mexico is obviously a lot cheaper than in the UK, but nightlife can get quite expensive considering you usally need to pay a cover to get in (around £15-25) for good clubs, plus the tip to the waiter to get a table (another £25) plus your drinks. Add some shopping and sightseeing, renting a yate (if going to the beach)... usually acquatic activities will cost around £30 (parachute ride, bannana, jet ski, water ski, etc) per hour. £500 should be more than ok for 2 weeks, you can make it as cheap or expensive as you want but if you're traveling so far, not miss anything because of the budget! (Obviously you can go there with just enough money for the taxi from the airport to the hotel and backwards, but with 500 you'll be the king)

Enjoy your trip (and ask for Don Julio when ordering tequila or a tradicional reposado)

  2. I easily spend $400 with my husband.  Even though it's all inclusive you should always tip your maids and bartenders (I recommend this, your service will be OUTSTANDING if you just slip them a a few dollars here and there)

Plus taxi fares if you want to visit a near by town.

    Money for souveniers.

Day excursions (horseback riding, atv tours)

    Clubs or restaurants.

  3. We stay at the Palace resorts and they are truly all inclusive, tips and everything.

We take $100 US per person (in small bills - ones and fives) for taxis, souveniers, a cold drink while wandering downtown, and also use it for additional tips for "above and beyond" service.  We stay 8 days 7 nights so you may want to double that.

Also we do not go out clubbing, we pretty much stay around the resort to eat and drink.  Most of the clubs have a cover charge, maybe $5-10 and drinks will run you about the same.  Your better AI's are going to have a safe in the rooms; don't carry around a lot of cash.

Many places you can use a credit card for tours and so on, and it usually gives you the best conversion rate anyway.
